Munsch Madness

13 days...

I hope my math is right! 13 days left until the end of the school year. I can't believe it! We have a lot of fun activities planned over the next two weeks. Five students completed and presented their Genius Hour projects. They did an amazing job and truly are GENIUS. The remainder of the projects will be presented over the course of the next two weeks. The children will know when it is their day to present and are to have all the items with them for that day.

We are almost ready to present our play entitled "Munsch Madness" The students cordially invite you to attend one our productions on Thursday, June 22nd. Our first production will be at 10:45 and our second showing will be in the afternoon at 1:15. We decided as a class this year to present our play in the Learning Commons as it is more inviting than the BIG stage in the gym. Our actors and actresses are super excited. Please continue to practise their lines with them as much as possible.

We are looking forward to our annual School BBQ this Wednesday! Hope to see you all there.

On Thursday this week the students are invited to wear red and white to commemorate Canada's 150th Birthday.We will be taking a school picture to celebrate this special event!

Our Outdoor classroom is starting to take shape. We had a BIG delivery this weekend. All the stumps have been delivered and are ready for outdoor learning to happen!

Friday Afternoon Fun!

EQAO is almost over! The students have done an amazing job and I am super proud of all of their efforts. As a little reward on Friday afternoon, we will be watching “Charlie & the Chocolate Factory”. The children are allowed to bring in a treat for themselves or to share as long as it is peanut free. We joked that it will be a chocolate party!

Just a little reminder that we are still practising our lines for the production of  “Munsch Madness”. It is imperative that students practise their lines and have them memorized as soon as possible. We take time to practise in class almost every day but help at home is required. Stay tuned for the invitation to attend our play! It will be towards the end of June to give us some time to really practise. Thanks! Ms. Harrington  

Good Morning!

I hope everyone had an amazing long weekend. I was busy spending time with family and friends and doing some gardening. We are all looking forward to watching the SENS game tonight! #allin

We will start writing EQAO on Thursday, May 25th. There is no doubt that the students are ready to go. I do not want them to be nervous and have reminded them that it is just another day! They are ready! A good night's sleep and a healthy breakfast each morning will help them be at the top of their game. A letter will go home today with more information.

We will continue to work on our Genius Hour projects as well as getting ready for our Play.  I have reminded the students that the Genius Hour projects do not have to be complicated. It's all about them and what they learn on a topic of their choice. Our Play is coming along nicely and I am excited to see it all coming together. Please continue the practise the lines at home!

In gym this week we will be working on our Dance moves. It should be a lot of fun!

We continue to wrap up our unit on Strong and Stable Structures and will finish the year with Plants. It is a perfect time to learn about plants.
