Happy Education Week!

As I sit here with my morning orange juice and planning for the next week's learning activities I reflect on all the wonderful things we have done this school year!  Can you list them all??

This week is Catholic Education Week. A time where we celebrate all things education. We celebrate the students, parents and teachers who all make a difference in our schools.  We have some amazing activities planned. Please consult our school website for events planned.

Our SENS are heavy into the 2nd round! Woot Woot! I have created our very own SENS MILE in our grade 3 hall.

Canada is celebrating 150 years. Our Language activities this week will center around these Canadian topics as well as wrapping up our Non-Fiction Google Slides. I have also posted a giant Canada flag that we are asking every student to sign to wish Canada Happy Birthday! You will find the flag on our "Classbook" bulletin board across from our classroom.

We are busy trying to wrap up our Genius Hour.  This is taking longer than expected and that's okay; this is when learning happens best!

We are having fun practising our lines for our upcoming production of Munsch Madness! We don't plan to be ready for this until June so that we can take our time are really learn our lines. All of the students are party of everyone scene as "kids or students" so it is important that they children know the whole play

In Math this week we will start learning about Mass and Capacity.

Please note that there will not be a newsletter for May and June as I will post any updates on the blog for the rest of the year. Looking forward to an amazing two months! Ms. H.

Greetings!

Good morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful 4 day weekend and enjoyed the blessings of spending time with family and friends at Easter.  We have a short week but lots to accomplish.

In Math, we will wrap up our time on Perimeter & Area and move onto Mass & Capacity. We will have a little Measurement quiz next week. The students have really enjoyed working with Perimeter and Area as it is a lot of hands on fun!

We will also be working through Theme 3 in Religion this week of fully alive. We are happy to have Ms. D. here with us today who will be having her baby any day now! The children are excited to ask her some important questions.

Our Language focus continues to be our non-fiction google slide projects. We are hoping to wrap them up this week.

In Science we have started our unit on Strong and Stable Structures. My favourite Science unit!
